See Guy in Action

“I’ve known Guy LeLarge — who I refer to as my ‘Guru Guy’ — for many decades. His varied experience from every aspect of the wine industry is enviable. There is no one I would turn to above Guy for questions about wine purchasing, wine pairing, or wine tasting. If it hadn’t been for Guy I would never have been motivated to become a wine judge and educator myself.”

– Eve Bushman

Wine writer, judge, and author of Wine Etiquette for Everyone

“I have known Guy for more than 20 years, and he has yet to steer me wrong on a bottle of wine. The education I’ve received over the years has allowed me to build enough expertise that I’m comfortable picking a bottle off a wine list — or when traveling in France and Italy. Guy is approachable and humble and never talks down to anyone. He is just excited to share the wonders of wine with whoever wants to learn.”

About Guy

Guy LeLarge spent decades as the owner of Valencia Wine Company, where he built a reputation for knowing wine — and for making it approachable to everyone who walked through the door.

“After spending 30 years in the wine industry, as both a distributor and sales VP for some of the top wine suppliers in the Country, I decided to do what I do best– present the finest wines, not necessarily the most well known, or popular, but to let the public in on what they could be missing in the search for wonderful wine experiences. I want to provide education and have more people enjoy and understand the wine process, what they are tasting, how to pair whatever they are serving with amazing wines, and to appreciate just the experience. Wine is just that. It’s a memory, a snapshot of a time frame, it’s good friends, good food. The wine tells the story.”

The shop may be closed, but Guy is now here to consult with you and to answer all of your wine questions.
